Tomorrow marks the first stop on the Rock N' Roll Gymnastics Tour for Hollie! The opening show will be performed in Uncasville, Connecticut. Along with Hollie, Tasha Schwikert, Paul and Morgan Hamm, Svetlana Khorkina, Jordan Jovtchev, Shannon Miller, Blaine Wilson, Sean Townsend, Todd Thornton, and Dominique Moceanu will also be performing. And gymnastics isn't the only thing you'll be seeing.. singer JoJo will also be appearing on most of the stops. Hollie's tour schedule is now up.

There was also an article about Hollie's reaction to Carly winning the Olympics in the Dallas Morning News: A Balancing Act - Carly Patterson's win was bittersweet for friend Hollie Vise. She talks about her mixed emotions involving Carly's success, her plans for the future, and her stress fracture in her left foot.

Hollie was also on hand with Mary Lee Tracy and Tasha Schwikert to give a handstand clinic at Atlantic Gymnastics in Portsmouth, New Hampshire earlier this week! She spent about 90 minutes demonstrating techniques and working with the gymnasts. Next was a question-and-answer period and autograph session.

AUGUST 20, 2004
Congratulations to Hollie's good friend and WOGA teammate Carly Patterson for winning the all-around title at the Olympics yesterday! Carly is the second American woman to ever win the title and the first to ever do it in a fully-attended Olympic Games! The US women and men's teams both brought home the silver medal and Paul Hamm also won the men's all-around!

AUGUST 16, 2004
Hollie has sent in a message for her fans:

Hey! I want to thank all of my fans out there for supporting me so much. All the messages and words of encouragement have been great! Yall are all awesome and so sweet! :)

Love Always,

JULY 18, 2004
Even though Hollie was not selected for the Olympic team, her family, friends, and fans are still proud of all her accomplishments in and out of the gym! We would like to wish the six lucky team members all the best in Athens. GO USA!

JUNE 28, 2004
Hollie competed bars and beam on both nights of Olympic Trials and did very well! On night one she stuck her bars dismount after a nearly perfect routine for a score of 9.575. She had some bobbles on beam and a large step on her dismount to score a 9.450 there. On night two she had a similar bar routine for a 9.500 and her beam was great, yet only scored a 9.500. With both night's scores added together, Hollie was 3rd on bars and 6th on beam.

Based on her performances, Hollie was named to the Olympic Selection Camp, July 10th-18th, in New Waverly, Texas. The other gymnasts who were selected for the camp were Courtney Kupets, Courtney McCool, Mohini Bhardwaj, Annia Hatch, Terin Humphrey, Allyse Ishino, Carly Janiga, Carly Patterson, Tasha Schwikert, Liz Tricase, and Tabitha Yim. Chellsie Memmel, Marcia Newby, and Nicole Harris petitioned to the camp and will also be competing. The additional four members of the team (Kupets and McCool were already named) will be anounced live on NBC on July 18th!

JUNE 9, 2004
Due to back spasms during podium training, Hollie withdrew from U.S. Nationals on June 1st. Her original plan was to petition to the U.S. Olympic Trials (the top 12 gymnasts at Nationals qualified) but results from her MRI earlier this week revealed that she has a swollen joint. Now she may petition to the U.S. Olympic Selection Camp which will be July 10th-18th in New Waverly, Texas. Fellow World bar Champion Chellsie Memmel is also petitioning to camp.

In other news, Hollie is on the cover of the new Inside Gymnastics issue! There is an article on Hollie with pictures of her room and an interview. Inside Gymnastics also has an interview with Hollie from camp. Congratulations to Hollie's WOGA teammates Carly Patterson & Nastia Liukin for winning the Senior & Junior National titles!

MAY 27, 2004
Hollie's sixth U.S. National Championships in Nashville, TN, is just around the corner! The first day of Podium Training is Monday May 31st and the All-Around Prelims & Event Finals is Thursday June 3rd. Saturday June 5th will be the all-around finals! Hollie will start the meet on vault, where she will be the 3rd gymnast up. On Saturday she will start on bars, 7th up. A complete start list and schedule can be found on USAG.

The top 12 gymnasts will not only make the US National Team but will also advance to the US Olympic Trials in Anaheim, California. Marta Karolyi can also add athletes who finished out of the top 12 to the Trials roster. Good luck Hollie!

USAG, International Gymnast, and Inside Gymnastics will all have coverage of the meet... including quick hits, photos, results, and interviews. NBC will be broadcasting Day One on June 5th at 1 PM EST. Day Two comes on June 6th at 2 PM EST.

Many new photos, from US Classic and of Hollie with her family, have been added!
